Welcome — I am Lilly. Lilly Orelia is the name I use here, my pseudonym for this lifestyle blog. I live in Belgium, where I was born and raised and I am nearly 30. Not “almost 30” in a scary way — but in a grounded, exciting, life-is-just-getting-started kind of way.
This little corner of the internet has been a long time coming.
For almost 15 years, I have been creating and deleting personal blogs. Starting over. Pressing publish. Taking it down again. Over and over. I always felt the urge to write, to share, to create something that felt like me — but I was not quite sure who that was yet.
Now, for the first time, I do.

I am no longer living in my childhood home. I have stepped into a new chapter — building a life of my own, together with the person I love. We bought our own apartment and day by day we are slowly turning it into a home that reflects us. Every piece of furniture, every tiny detail is chosen with care.
And somewhere along the way, I discovered something beautiful: I absolutely love designing spaces.
That love shows itself everywhere — in how we style our apartment, how we shape our garden, how we move things around until they feel just right. It has even grown into something more personal: I recently started creating art myself. What began as curiosity has become a creative outlet that feels grounding and exciting at the same time.
More than anything, I try to live with a positive mindset. Negative thoughts can weigh heavily on you, especially when they are about things you cannot change. That does not mean life is always perfect — but I choose to focus on what can be built, improved, appreciated. Growth over worry. Gratitude over frustration.
