There is something I have been craving lately.

Slower content. Thoughtful words. Real photographs. Corners of the internet that feel like a cup of tea on a rainy afternoon rather than a neon-lit shopping street.

I started my personal lifestyle blog, Lilly Orelia, partially because I wanted to return to that feeling. Therefore, I would love to hear about your favourite blogs to follow.

A slower corner away from the internet.

A gentle goodbye to doom-scrolling

Do not get me wrong — I still love Instagram. I truly do. Scrolling through my own feed, seeing little snapshots of the past years, brings me genuine joy. It feels like a digital scrapbook of sunsets, soft outfits, flowers in vases, and quiet Sunday mornings.

But lately, something has shifted.

I find myself seeing fewer and fewer posts from friends, and more and more sponsored content. The algorithm seems louder than the people I actually care about. And sometimes I wonder: what if my profile disappeared tomorrow? What if years of memories were suddenly gone? Or what if the images we carefully curated end up feeding AI systems we never consciously agreed to?

It makes me realise how fragile social media can be.

A blog feels different. A blog feels like a home you decorate yourself. Slower. More intentional. Less noise. More soul.

And that brings me to you.

I am looking for blogs to follow

I would absolutely love to discover new blogs — hidden gems. If you have one, or if you adore one, please drop your blog below in the comments.

Let us help each other grow. Let us read each other’s words. Let’s create a small but meaningful circle outside the endless scroll.

Every blog is welcome here. Truly. But if I am being completely honest, I have a soft spot for blogs that feel similar to mine. For example:

  • Personal lifestyle blogs
  • A passion for home decoration, art and mindfulness
  • Aesthetic, calm vibes
  • A poetic touch in the writing
  • Photos taken by the author — real, imperfect, beautiful (not AI generated, not stock images, not bought from a database)

Let us build a little corner of the internet together

I love seeing the world through someone else’s lens — literally… the kind of blogs that make you feel less alone and more inspired at the same time.

Maybe this is our gentle rebellion against doom scrolling.

A return to intentional reading.
To commenting.
To bookmarking.
To waiting for a new post like we used to.

So tell me — do you have a favourite blog you visit every week and feel a tiny spark of happiness when you see that a new article has been published?
